On the first week of August every year, lovers of country and mountain music leave their homes in time to be in Galax, Va for the annual Old Fiddler’s Convention. This week-long event features nightly competitions, lively jam sessions, and performances by some of the most talented old-time and bluegrass musicians around, keeping the culture, heritage, and memories of the music of the past alive and able to be enjoyed today.
