Held at Grayson Highlands State Park‚ the Wayne C. Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition feature some of the region’s best musicians. The event takes its name from National Heritage Award recipient Wayne C. Henderson‚ a musician and instrument maker who lives in nearby Rugby‚ Virginia. The top award winner receives a hand-made Henderson guitar. Wayne and many of his musical friends are featured performers at the festival‚ and bluegrass and old-time music dominate the musical fare. Admission is $20.00 per adult and children under 12 are free. Please note there is a $10.00 Virginia State parking fee per vehicle. This event has been cancelled due to Covid.
