The Wayside Bluegrass Festial first began in 1973‚ and continues to provide a beautiful festival venue for old-time and bluegrass music in the Blue Ridge. Located in Patrick County‚ the Wayside Park sponsors a bluegrass festival in July. (Please call for exact dates.) Camping is available with electric hookups and shade trees are abundant. Also‚ the park provides concessions‚ a kitchen‚ showers‚ and a 5 acre pond. The ampitheater stage is located in a nice shady spot in the park. The Wayside Bluegrass Festival attracts folks from all over including Canada and Japan.
